Skuzzy - is there a language filter? If so, is it turned on?

Yes, sort of.  Point me to a problem thread.

As a follow-up, the forums are "perky" again. Seems to have been temporary.

The ad only took 30 seconds to run.  :)

The sig line character limit is way too short. My sig line used to be 2 lines of 5 links. These were helpful links, about skinning and scenarios. Resources/tools. When using the href tags they took up very little room.

However, I can't USE the href tags because all the formatting tags are counted in the sig limit, meaning I have to do what I've got now: 5 untitled HTTP links. 5 visually unappealing lines to replace 2 well-laid out lines before. Seems a giant step backwards to me.

I've seen this on another forum as well, and it's basically killed sig files there. Folks can't do much more than 1 line (with any formatting) with so few characters.

I'm in the same boat as Krusty.  If the hidden part of the link didn't count as characters that would be wonderful.

Interesting changeover...I thought you guys were a vBulletin system?  No upgrade option available via them?  They've been pretty good for my needs.  The db I had to convert over from was a scripting nightmare  for them

Any chance of reducing the size of the header in the future?

Skuzzy said earlier that vBulletin was dead and that they had been hacking the final version to get it to do what they wanted for years...

on the home page of the BBS there is a link (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/index.php?action=recent) to have the most recent post

I find this a bit to cluttered is it possible to have like in the former BBS the threads having the most recent activity ?

We evaluated many options for a bulletin board and this one came the closet to meeting all the requirements we had.

Next to the date in the header is an ICON for reducing the size.  You can do this to categories in the forum listing as well.  The board will remember those settings.

Straffo, try clocking on the "Show most recent posts" in the header of the board.  I think it is what you are looking for.

Will there be an ignore list function to hide the posts by ignored ones, like at the old boards?
I assume we now have only an ignore list for private messages....

Also, how come some people posting currently have PNG titles? A bug?

Basic moderators are broken right now.  I'll be working on that Monday.

Blauk, I will be looking at adding back the ignore feature.
