Does anyone know of an option to disable

I think the fluff is integral to the boards, unless Skuzzy hacks it. I notice some of the other stuff doesn't work (or at least doesn't work on my PC), and I'm hoping they thin it down a bit- I really don't care to see 2 word posts accompanied by half a page of embedded pics in sigs, scrolling text, stars, and whatever else.

If you have older Firefox build you can add in about:config
browser.display.enable_marque e and set it to false

However in newer builds, this seems to have no effect whatsoever. Editing of userChrome.css doesn't help either.

Alternatively, in some firewalls you can define tags to be displayed, or you could have local proxy server and filter marquee tags.

The best would be if HTC disables some formating options like glow, shadow and marquee...

OK, it works if you add following into your userContent.css (Firefox)

marquee {
-moz-binding                  : none !important;
display                       : block;
height                        : auto !important;
}

Find %:\Documents and Settings\your_user_name\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\Your_profile_name\chrome

Look for userContent-example.css open and edit, save as userContent.css

I think marquee and images in sig lines (and marquee images in sig lines!) are a terrible feature to these forums. I liked the HTC forums because they didn't have that crap that a lot of other forums do. It usually degrades (and fast) to the point EVERYBODY's sick of it, save for those DOING it.

Guys, I have a plate full right now, so I am addressing the critical items first.  Let's not jump off the bridge in the first few hours we have this new board up.  Thank you.

Things will be tweaked.  That is the only constant I will offer at the moment.

My main complaint is I lost half my sig due to the limit of 300 characters, which were links and not really viewable.   :(

I'm not really sure I like pics in the sig either.  I feel the avatars should be enough.
