Dweeb & Dweeber

Yesterday, the valerous and noble Bishops rode an Off-The-Map raid on Rookland's HQ. Whatt??? No, no, it can't be. Only Rook pilots do that, Remember?

After all that chest-thumping, we are all (more or less) the same. The mass is amorphous and brainless....

So, please, anyone willing to give moral lessons, and standing a higher position in fairness terms, please don't. At least, save us from that kind of stupidity. If stupid are the ones flying like that, even more is the one trying to argue that "my country don't" or something like that.

Lastly, to that group Bishops, nice piece of strategy. Facing terrible odds (you doubled Rooks' numbers) you managed to implement and successfully execute a subtle and risky plan. Now we all play in common terms.

Cheers,

Pepe

I haven't a clue who it was Pepe but Knights did the same to Bishops in an attempt to capture a field; they failed.  Luckily it doesn't happen that often but I agree that it can be damn annoying at times.

The only way to stop this is by reporting them.  If you are flying for my country, and off the map trying to cheat your way into enemy territory, I WILL report your location to the enemy and guide their interceptors to a successful intercept.

Pepe you are sure it was not Krook,Rnight, Bnight or Krish or some other country   ?

In each country some people do that I even have done once that on squad night (wouldn't have done it but squad night is squad night I've to obey ...)

Btw it's a legal tactic cause AH autorize it
I dont agree with it but "what could be done would be done"

Its not a country that does it.

It's people.

As such, the best way to deal with it is to report friendlies going off map to enemies. Zig did it, I do it when I see it.

That's the point:

a) It's people, not country. Thus, no need to talk about contries, or post a country doing this'n that. This is only add salt to the wound.

b) It's in our hands to stop it. Just report on open channel exact situation and target (if possible) If I ever know of this in Rookland, take for granted I will tell on open channel.

Cheers,

Pepe

May I also hack the planes?. It can be done, so won't be immoral to do it.
Is this what you mean?

Nope it's against the term of services   read the licence.txt file
extract :

Authorized Hosts. For host-based multiplayer services, the SOFTWARE must be used only to connect to authorized hosts.  You are not permitted to use the SOFTWARE to connect to hosts that have not been authorized by HiTech

except and only to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law notwithstanding this limitation.

Rental. You may not rent or lease or lend the SOFTWARE.
<continued>

So you can't
Btw I've the competence to do it part of my life is building drivers and other black magic   but where will go the fun if I do such thing ?

But I was speaking just about this particular point : Off Map flight we can all do that this is not an unfair advantage given to some people,we have all the moral choice to do or not this.
The fact that I don't agree with this technique (cause it ruin my fun) don't implie that I will on my own interdict it to other players it's a game play concern wich should be managed by the HTC team.

Dweebing and Cheating are 2 different animals. While Dweebing (call it gaming the game, or these kind of things) are, roghly talking, annoyances in an otherwise great game, Cheats are not.

There are ways (AFAIK) to cheat the game that are not against the literal of the terms of service. Wether they are or are not in evident breach of the terms of use, I am sure these things are top in the Htc. list of priorities, and, should ever come to their knowledge, I expect their most intense efforts not only to stop the thing to happen, but to ban the trespasser in Htc's hosts.

I do not need to be informed of this, except If I am the sender of the proof, or the person asking for a solution to a cheat. I posted time and time before that I trust Htc., as they give consistent signs that they care for they business, and I will keep doing so unless I have proof on the contrary.

Cheers,

Pepe
