Finally can get MORE RAM

here is the system I have..

 I pretty much know which speed I need to get which is 2 x 1GB pc4200 ddr2 ram (533)

But I cant seem to find that speed with a heatsink,or a low CAS latency.minimum I can find is 4 cas latency,I dont know how much of a difference it makes,but I think lower is better??

 I was looking at new egg and found this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146567  very nice and fast,and I am wondering if this will work in my system?

 The other one is this,   http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231018   which is the speed my system runs..It is Gskill and also has a heatsink..
 I am wondering if these are any good?

  I really am digging the crucial stix,but will my system run any speed,or does it have to be pc4200ddr2 533???
 I just went back to look at the crucial memory sticks,and I notice that the volatage is like 2.2v...will that run in my system as well???

 Check your motherboard book or the ECS website to be sure about what voltage you need. Some motherboards are more forgiving than others. Given that your system has a ECS motherboard I wouldn't spend too much money on it, however I would stick to the name brands such as Crucial, Kingston etc. 2gb should be sufficient.

As far as RAM goes...I don't buy Generic stuff.  However, I don't waste my money on Crucial or any top of the line brands for every day computing needs.  Only time I've used those brands was building a system for a buddy, who wanted to overclock the system and had money to burn.  As long as the RAM goes for everyday use and gaming, I stick with national brands such as G.Skill, A-Data, etc. etc.  As long as the company has a lifetime warranty and I recognize the name, and timings arent bad etc, I'll buy it.

Go to your motherboard manufacturers website and look up the supported memory listing for your specific board.

Cas Latency of 4 or 5 is just fine.  Most of the SLI and Crossfire supported memory and other high performance gaming memory runs at 4 with tight timings (~4-4-4-15).  Also, while a heatsink might be nice, unless your overclocking, using high performance memory or have some other heat considerations within your box it's not a requirement (the manufacturers are well aware of how much heat their components create and would have added heatsinks if they felt they needed them).
