I just did some research on the planes. The B-24 is the last remaining airworthy craft. It was built in Ft Worth in August 1944 at Consolidated Aircraft, now Lockheed/Martin. This plane has come full circle. Full history of the aircraft is here: http://collingsfoundation.org/tour_b-24j_hist.htmI'm going Monday. Anyone want to join me?
Not so anymore. The CAF got theirs up. http://www.commemorativeairforce.org/cafaircraft/acdisplay.php?ACID=9
Goto Google and type in "French military victories", then hit "I'm feeling lucky".
