Sunday night again found our Gallant third reich heros' facing adversity. While most of JG54 was in the DA doing DA stuff, the third reich, found itself again out-numbered and outgunned Almost 4 to 1.
The assault was fast and furious as the allieds tried to attack and take base 26. with only 2 heroic defenders at that particular base, they managed to hold off the attacks by themselves. TrueKill strategically hidden so as not to give his possition away, mananged to turn over 8 goons, and 80 troops into a flaming scrap heap and body pile on the deck.
Later on in the evening, the assault began again over base 75 and spilled over to base 32. the attacks, as brutal as they were, were held off by just a few defenders!! As the aerial battle worked its way over to 32, rather then turn it into a vulch-fest (as the allieds would normally do), we allowed them to get off the ground and get a little E before engaging. This is not something they would've allowed us to do.
However the fact that the Axis fighters are more civilized in the rules of engagement, we did the right thing and let them up.
Most of this week, people will tell you that the fights have been cleaner and with less HO'ing and Vulching and all around better behavior. Maybe someone should let ARLO in on this little Tidbit as he is the HO'ing champion as of late.
