Yes spit16nooby....I have been having terrible issues with disco's lately.  I did some researching and discovered from tour 84 through 93 (Jan 2007 - Oct 2007) I only got disconnected twice.  From Tour 94 through this tour (97) so far I have had 21 disco's.  Tour 94 and 95 being the "best" with only 5 total.  Tour 96 I had 8...Tour 97 so far I had 8.  It is getting to the point I think it is not even worth logging in.  I have tried running without a firewall, with my firewall (with exceptions for AH only).  Have tried setting the open ports to be 2000-6000, etc. and can't figure it out.  I called my ISP to see if THEY changed something along bout November/December last year...they SAY no, but I gotta wonder unless something drastic has changed in AH along that same time frame.  I run a DSL line and have all phones and devices filtered, etc.  My DSL is hooked in through ethernet card, though along time ago I used to use the USB connection (didn't seem to have as many disco's, but I had them).

Am thinking it might be worth the money in long distance to call Skuzzy at Hitech and see if he has any input that might help.

hopefully frustrated,

RASCAL

I rarely get discoed but every once in a while I run into several in a row.  It usually is telling me it's time to clean up my machine.

Run disc clean-up and delete everything in the recycle, temp and internet cache folders.
Open your web browser and delete all cookies.
Run virus and spyware scans.
Run the fast version of scan-disc.
Run disc defragmenter.

After this, turn off any and all auto-updaters in the start menu, and other non-vital programs.

While playing, don't run other applications.  Allow your machine to dedicate itself to the game.

After all of this, if it hasn't helped, at least you know it's not on your end (but it usually is).
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

Running Ping Plotter to the HTS game server is a good way to check up on your ISP. Run it for about 15 minutes, and post the results here for everyone to see. They will let you know if there its trouble there, or to look some place else

Another idea is that if you are using a cable modem or DSL or router is to shut down your machine and unplug your cable modem/dsl/router for at least a few minutes and then reinstall the power to said modem.  I find that I have to do this several times a week on my linksys cable modem.

All the Best...

If you are behind a router, you should be power cycling it once a week.  Those consumer grade routers do get wonky after they have been running for a long period of time.

Also note, if you are on Comcast, discos will be higher than they should be due to the network packet management scheme they have adopted.
