It would be more helpful to others if you made your idea a lot more specific than you have here.  To be honest, I don't actually understand what point you're trying to make, so I can't comment on it.  Also, you'll receive far fewer of the sarcastic remarks that I'm sure will follow, if you take my above advice.

In addition to this, please research you idea first, and make sure something like it actually existed.  Posting links to your sources is also good.

Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?

The only other variant I have seen mounts a 37mm M3 Stuart turret.  That
would be like spitting BBs in here <think M8 main gun>.

The Allies on D-Day did have M4's that were equipped to float, But the were not that successful.

They used heavy canvas and they used a prop driven from the engine.

They didnt work on Omaha because of the tides. They worked on on other tests though.

Omaha i think they lost about half their tanks. But on the other beach heads they were successful.

They lost more than half.  Out of the 29 tanks, only two made it to the beach at Omaha.  The 27 tanks that were lost were due to heavy seas.  The floats were designed for 1 foot seas, at the time of the Normandy invasion, the tanks were set off in 6 foot seas, quickly got swamped and sunk.

The tanks that made it ashore on Gold, Juno and Utah invasion beaches faired much better.

Well it could be a good wishlist tank. I guess. The float thing would raise when you went in the water, and it would lower when you got out.

The Dual Drive tanks would be absolutely defenseless while in the water..I mean totally,
not even their MGs would bear.  Also the only thing keeping you from the bottom is canvas
which is not noted for it's resistance to mg/cannon fire  :D
