No, physics really are that bad.  The only way you can sorta fool yourself into suspension of disbelief is playing GT3 with sim tires..  They screwed the pooch in GT4, with a really terrible tire physics model, so there's really no telling what they'll do with GT5. 
So far it looks like they're sticking to all aesthetics and minimum physics, once again.

Hmm, the only sim I've gotten the right physics feel from is LFS.  I'll be very glad if they get the physics good enough in GT5, though.

Initially...

GT-5 will be upgradeable like Aces High.  You can download cars/tracks and save it on the PS3 hard disk.

wow i havent had a console since i sold my PS1 with steering wheel and pedals.  A very sad day in my life  :cry

My great driving skills come from F1, GT and colin mcrae (rip) rally.

Is it going to be PS3 only ?  Might have to buy one.

I just made a phone call and found out my awesome GT steering wheel that I had gotten specifically for GT4 was donated to goodwill after letting my nephew borrow it.

Gonna go cry now.

So do you have a nephew sized hole in your back yard yet?
