Afk for a year or so.  The name of a gun turret in game.  Falanx, huh?
Apparently I'm in the 20th FG 'Loco Busters', or so the legend goes.

Man, it sounds as if the planes reputation seems just go away. After seeing the video of the P-63 crash, I still wonder when i watch a p-39 take off. But i guess they would fix some of the old engine prolbems with those though before they fly them now.

I believe they don't run warbird engines at full power (it prolongs the lifespan of the engine). So wouldn't the wartime emergency power be even louder than what's in that film clip?

P.S. Thanks for the link Guppy

Thanks for posting that one Dan.  :)   Capture them sounds for the game HTC.  That plane seems to have some pretty good performance compared to what I thought I was going to see.  Nice short takeoff roll and acceleration.  Did anyone else get that impression watching this video?   I really loved this one...http://www.airshowbuzz.com/videos/view.php?v=a6c8aff2

So did this plane have the prop shaft running under the pilot?
