Gowan, are you saying the the city of Berkeley did not try to get rid of the Marines?

Quote
Last week, the Berkeley City Council agreed to send a letter to the Marines stating their recruiters were not welcome in the city and that those who stayed would be considered "uninvited and unwelcome intruders."

The council also applauded people who "impede" the recruiters' work and awarded a free parking permit to Code Pink, an anti-war group that demonstrates daily outside the Marine recruiting office in the

Gowan, perhaps if you realised that all major news stations now are nothing more than entertainment value that is designed to sell items advertised by their corporate sponsors you would not get so worked up over the fact that many view berkeley as a bastion of all that is wrong liberalism.

It was in fact the berkeley city council that voted to tell the Marine Corps Recruitment Station to leave.  They in fact did say, that "the Marines should know better than to come here."  The very fact that many people in berkeley support terrorist nut jobs more than they support our troops is enough reason for me to intensely dislike the city that supports that view point.

I sincerely wish the US Government would look a little deeper in to the activities that go in berkeley from private protest groups to the city government. While Constitution of this nation does support the right to free speech, it does not support treason, especially during times of war.

why don't all of you shut the hell up. I know there are some crazy people in berkeley, but there are also crazy people EVERYWHERE!

why don't you all actually go over there and see what it's like!
its not all a bunch of protestors saying everything is boinked up, the show took just one point of view and then just bashed it to death for comedic humor. also if all the news you get is from COMEDY CENTRAL you need to take a good look at yourself and say where the hell did i go wrong!

im disgusted at the fact that all of you just take 1 stance due to something you saw on T.V. and then think it's true. if everything on t.v. is true, then japanese people CAN shoot lasers out of their hands and other bullpoop stuff like that is true

go and research the whole story and then talk, until then, Shut the bloody hell up you rightwing nut-jobs

 :lol

I do go to protests. Been assaulted by "peace activists" on more occasions than you have fingers and toes.

Would you like a legit discussion of the leaders of these protests? "Medea"? Barbara Lubin? Jess Ghannam? Joseph Anderson? Scott Kennedy?

Beware, I have more ammo for this discussion than you have nerd-rage.

Whoa, don't go blowin' a gasket.

It's hardly just one looney left antic Berkley is guilty of. Berkley has been known for extreme left bizarity for decades.

Our political diuscussions are usual more civil. It's not too often that someopne loses their cool and tells everyone to "shut the hell up". Perhaps it's only some that shouldn't participate?

Considering that the show in question has a tendency to make light of everything BUT the liberal side of politics I find it interesting that they would take such a hard shot at Berkley. And also quite telling.

No, I believe that would be the right to bear arms.
