Saving Views with F10 problem
« on: March 14, 2008, 08:20:14 AM »
Hi,

I've recently noticed that I can't save certain views by using F10.  I discovered this while setting up views in the Corsair.  When I want to look up and to either right or left all I pretty much see is the back of the seat and very little of open sky.  Using keypad 5 ( up ) and either keypad 4 or 6 for direction I then adjust using the arrows, page up or down and hit F10 but I don't get the "position saved" in the text buffer.  Any other view tweak is easily saved this way just can't get up and to left or right to work.

Anyone else have this issue and know of a work around?

Thanks!

Luck had nothing to do with it. Neither did skill. I really have no idea what did have to do with it. What was the question again?

Did you inadvertently turn off F lock?

Are the head position files for that plane marked read-only?  Look for files in the 'settings' folder with the extension of ".hps".  Those are the head position files and the file name is the name of the plane.

Good thought,,,one I wouldn't have considered :salute, but F Lock is not on.  I can still tweak any other view combos and hit F10 and it's saved and confirmed on the text buffer.  Only up/left or up/right won't save.  I've also tried manipulating the view on the hat switch and having my son press F10 but no joy,,,,

Thanks for taking the time to respond though!!

My sense is you might not have seen Skuzzy's response.  The fix he describes worked great for me some time ago when I was having the same problem you are.  The files were "read only" and by taking that checkmark out I was able to save again.
