Top Gear meets Ground Force...
« on: March 16, 2008, 06:27:50 AM »
This is quite funny. Basically the Top Gear team do some gardening... with some interesting results. They 'make-over' the garden of Sir Steve Redgrave (5 times gold medallist olympic rower) - and he doesn't know about it. Shotguns are involved...

Was done as part of the BBC's Sport Relief charity fund raising programme, the other day. Raised £19 million I think.

I watched the first two so far. That was funny when the digger falls over  :lol Before it fell over , he was just spinning around in circles.

"He doesn't strike me as a lawn type of bloke"  LOL

And then all that concrete. That was pretty funny. :)

I didn't like it, seemed too scripted.
I am not ashamed to confess that I am ignorant of what I do not know.

After I watched the others, that's what I felt too. That digger falling over didn't look scripted though, and that was funny.

But all the times they knocked down the shed started to get stupid. Although, that guy making the shed seamed genuinely pissed!

And the guy coming home seemed REALLY pissed. That seemed real. I wonder if they had to pay him and then fix his yard?

Top Gear was great in early seasons (3 - 9) but now it's getting way too scripted and 'fake'....
