Most dont like high alt bombing. It takes too much time and most of the time, the dar it puts up is a clear sign to up a 262 and shoot them down. Its rather demoralizing to the newbies. On the other hand, it takes 3 good bombers to decimate a feild and prove to be very effective with fighter support. Im with ya on the issue of not enough bomber pilots

I'm sure there are some very accurate bombers still flying these days... to me though it's the guys (and gals) who flew bombers back when they had the more complex calibration routine that really earned their stripes.  What we have now in the MA is toned down significantly.

999000, 707200, tatertot, and many others. We are still around but the gene pool has been deleted. I am capable of doing most bombing feats but its just not the challenge it once was. If you can see it.....you can hit it....everytime.

IMHO I think your seeing good buff pilots fly other planes more and having an increased amount of new pilots in buffs. There still out there tho.

I'm no good in bombers, but since they dumbed down the calibration process I can hit what I'm aiming for. At this rate, they are going to go back to the point and click bombing we had back in AH1. It's pretty much the same IMO.

here too  :salute

i love high alt, long time bomber missions. But in the last mouths i do not have time for it  :frown:.

in the old days i prever the b17 at 33k, she is real fast and a 262 did have real trobel to get in these altitude
since the new patches.

Depends on the company you keep I suppose. For me, the hi alt bombers in this sim are second to none.Probably because the escorts AC are correctly modeled, and the interceptor AC are as well. Always a good time when we fly. :)
