Myspace accounts? Editing?
« on: March 16, 2008, 03:46:27 PM »
How many of you guys have a myspace page? I just got around to making a starter page and put a few pictures on mine, just so there would be something there.

The editing of the content doesn't seem to be very user friendly. Any tips for making a nice page? I'd like to put some music up there and was wondering how to do it.

LEDPIG, how did place for your music on your page? I like the way that works.

If any of you have pages and would like another friend, my page is at:

To add a song to your page you go to music and search for a band that you like and you click on the band's profile and a list of songs is on the page click on add on which ever one you like :rock

I mean that I want to post my own songs and have an option for others to listen or download them. Ledpig has it on his, so maybe he'll chime in.

I've had a myspace page for several years, but I got so sick of having to clear out a dozen "come look at my porn site" or "come check out my webcam" messages and friend requests every day that I've hardly bothered to check it in about a year. Its nothing but a spam factory anymore.

I just started one myself for the same reason.

Half the time I can't figure out how to edit it.  It looks very bland compared to some of the stuff I've seen.

I kept mine pretty bland. I don't see the point in all the BS people throw on there, the simple way works for me. It also a lot easier to read and less distracting...

My friend Michelle started mine for me, in minutes I was looking at how to change stuff to make it more unique.

It's funny how it looks so different in IE as opposed to firefox ( I used firefox for the version I wanted)

anyway this is mine.. send me a friend request to get in  http://www.myspace.com/cheeseheadroy
I still go to mine once in awhile to listen to music while I'm on the computer.

I have a clip of a B-25 taking off from Page field in Fort Myers!

I used to be the king at layouts and stuff...once I had no ads on my site, not even the banned at the top. :D
I kind of let mine go for now, more import things to work on.
Maybe because of this thread it will inspire me to get back to working on them...Eh? :D

If you want to add your own music to a myspace page you can go to this site http://www.myflashfetish.com/myspace-mp3players.php choose the skin for your player by clicking on the create now link under it, now on the next page you'll see where you add the mp3 title & URL for it, there are 2 sites it shows you where you can host your mp3's, File Den or Boxstr.  Goto one of those sites and create an account, it's free, then upload your mp3's and it will give you a URL for the mp3 you uploaded.  When you have the url just put it in the boxes, once you've added all the songs you want just click on the add MP3 button and you should get a source code, take that source code and put it in the edit section on your MySpace page.  You'll get a music player like I have on my Myspace page, you can look at it by clicking the link under my avatar.

I've had one for quite a while and have never had any issues with that. you may want to try setting it so only people on your friends list can send you messages.

I've really never had a problem with spam messages on there, but the spam friend request are getting quite annoying.

I deleted my MySpace account a couple months ago on the same day all the other cool kids did the same.  It's just not useful anymore.
