ping rate

my ping rate is very high and i have alot of packet loss i have windowsxp with a dsl connection how do i fix this ( keep in mind im not really good with computers)

you can download Ping Plotter. Its a free program that once installed you can type in the IP address ( see the sticky posted at the top of the "Tech Support" thread) post a screen shot of a plot that you run for about 15 minutes.

Simple things you can do is to not have any other programs running, torrents, auto downloaders, streaming video/audio, pretty much anything else that uses your internet connection.

yeah i got the ping plotter thats how i know my ping rate is in the red and my packet loss is 100% sometimes i checked the post its and i have no other internet systems running so what else can i do everytime i take off i get maybe 5 min and i lose the host?

post a picture of your ping plot here. Skuzzy can some times give you tips on what "might" be happening. If you have "level3" in any of the addresses you may not be able to do much.
