Sometimes when a guy logs off the text buffer defaults to the next guy in the roster.

I would suggest.
And this is only a suggestion mind you.

That you pop an Email to HTC and ask them directly what the deal is.
You will probably receive the answer you seek there far better then you will by posting about it on the boards.
The folks at HTC sometimes get a little testy when folks post about such things here..

Speaking from experience....quit now.  Delete your posts yourself and draw your blinds over your windows.  You'd have a better chance of convincing Lazs that athropogenic global climate change is real, than get anywhere with this thread.
