ohh. And how do half of you even get banned?!?! God... I dont even try to watch what I say and as i recall, I havent even violated a rule that got skuzzy's attention. Whatever you do, it must be pretty serious.
Oh yeah, most of the parolees richly deserved to be banned for their past transgressions---me, I didn't commit my crime in the O'Club, but rather in General Discussions.
I'd come home after drinking shots of Crown Royal half the night, turned on The O'Club and was greeted by a message saying The O'Club had been closed by Pyro, I think it was. I blinked, tried to fathom what was wrong, went onto General Discussions and asked if they'd at least archive The O'Club. I waited, didn't get an answer, and used a bit stronger language in reasking the question...hey Pyro, will you at least archive the damn things? In my drunken state I somehow felt they'd stolen my intellectual property, and I wasn't going to take that lying down...so I waited, asked the question again, got no response and after that it got real blurry- I made several more posts, each one progressively angrier, and I believe in my last post I made a few disparaging remarks about Texas, and about how some staff members appeared to be missing that all important 21st apendage, and how I was going to sue them for The O'Club archives, and yadda yadda yadda...and then I passed out.
I awoke the next morning, went into General Discussions and discovered I'd been declared PNG for my previous nights' posting spree. I also noticed my nine post rant took place over twenty two minutes and thirty three seconds, which shows just how slow the time goes by without The O'Club, especially when you're drunk, and all my posts took place at about 3:30 AM Texas time, so of course Pyro didn't answer...so anyway I got banned, but for me since there was no O'Club it was like being thrown out of your favorite bar the day it burns down so it was no big thing, until they brought it back.
I believe The O'Club was restored partly because they saw just how passionate I felt about the place, and they had to fear a general uprising might occur...so as far as I'm concerned sure, I deserved to be banned and I apologize now to them for my disparging remarks, but I was as much a political prisoner as anything else- a Nelson Mandella,or a Tommy Chong, if you will- rather than a common name calling, inciteful thug like others who were banned were.
Up until my ban 3500 posts with only one Skuzzification edit is testimony to my good manners, and for those of you who signed up while I was away you will soon find out just what a good citizen and all around nice guy I am.
