New rules in force. AH is forcing you to pick 5, and only 5, airplanes you can use. Say you have to pick 2 fighters, 2 bombers, and 1 attack type airplane. What would you choose and why?

We can even enhance this with allowing 2 GV types per person. Which would you choose and why?

109K4: In a non-crowded environment, when youre not rushed to land hits from less than optimal firing positions (since the other 10 friendlies on the same EAC are putting 10,000 rounds of Hispano nuts into the air every 3 seconds - and your 30mm aint much good beyond 200 yards), this one is almost unbeatable in almost every situation; advantage, disadvantage, no advantage.  Vertical performance without par and the ability to accelerate to disengage and re-engage, at will.  Only drawback is dive performance.

FW190A5: For the reverse situation, above - typical MA environment.  Initial turn is good, speed is good, acceleration is above average, dive is above average, rate of roll is the best in the game, 2x MG151 package is perfectly adequate with 250RPG.  Fast in, land hits, fast out.  Always underestimated by the bad guys who often assume youll simply BnZ out to 5.0K and repeat.  Great way to bleed an EAC's E in short order by making two or three quick lag roll passes and forcing them to dodge each time.  Usually results in a very confused enemy who is surprised you didnt run after his dodge and just isnt sure what to do next at <200IAS.  Since my gunnery sucks, slow is good.  ;)

Dont know watermelon about bombers or GV's.

Well, I would probably be squeaking that I couldnt find my lighter, which is a serious problem after you get shot down.  Especially in my case... and especially if alcohol is involved.

(WTF you been?  Been flying again for a week, regularly, and havent seen you?)

109s climb like madmen. Ive made some mistakes trying to climb against them. +++ there are some very good sticks in 109s as it typically isnt something a noob takes out. The K4 is also deceptively fast. Ive had a few behind me in LAs and I thought I was safe enough to stretch out to re-engage and before I knew it the thing was breathing down my neck. Ive been meaning to spend some time in Luftwaffe but there are only so many hours a day.

I can understand trying to sneak in the P-47-D-40 as a bomber. Its my favorite Jug varient and a real winner. I love seeing about 20 of them diving on an airfield.

I don't really bomb or gv so my top 5 will be all fighters.

1) Spit 9 - excellent fighter and taken for granted because it isn't a Spit 16
2) P51D - Love the speed and it can be turn fought fairly well for a typically BnZ plane.
3) Tempest - Great for fighting in outnumbered areas and BnZ
4) Hurricane - Best base defender against cv planes.
5) P38 (any model) - Nice plane even though I can't fly it for crap

If you force me to fly bombers then I would choose B17.
Gv's I use the panzer and osti even though I don't think I have gv'd in months.

F6F-5: Does CV ops, mid and late war MAs. Good for jaboing, climbs OK when heavy. Great turnfighter and deflection shooter, lots of ammo, tough. Excellent rudder authority, good for making bnzers overshoot.

F4U-1: For the rare occasions when I'm ENY'd out of the F6F.

F4F-4: For when there is actually someone other than milkrunners in the EW MA.

Ju 88: I like torpedo bombing, yes I know it is suicide.

TBM: As above.

Not really interested in GVs.

spit14:  My fave fighter and she seems to handle high and low alt fights for me rather well.  It is fast, dives well, turns well for me, has .50cals and the good ol 20mm hispanos.

typhoon: One of my favorite ground attack planes.  the 2 1000ks can make short work of tanks and the 20mm hispanos work wonders on planes.

IL2: Has recently become of my faves.  Dogfights well enough for me, can kill most GVs with cannon alone and the ords can outright kill all but tigers it seems.

HurricaneIIc:  Excellent for turn fighting, has enough ord to kill most GVs and those lovable 20mm hispanos.

P51D: It serves me well in as both a fighter and ground attacker and as I fly it more the more I enjoy it.

Tiger------my favorite tank, it means business, many times it can 1 shot kill foes at even long range, can take a few hits sometimes and has a great climb rate to get to those nice perches.  Also looks like a tough tank, especially in black.

Firefly------get my vote as fave due to quickness of the turret to swing on to target in comparison to Tigers and of course the power of the gun, in some ways it seems more powerful than the Tigers 88mm.

The AArch AAngelz is its own country, we owe loyalty only unto ourselves and those we fly with at the moment.---AAolds AArch AAngelz XO.

I love to GV and do Jabo missions vs GVs, get used to it.  Being good at one helps in the other.
