Is my memory failing me or didn't the La-5/7 have a counter-clockwise rotating prop before the update? Now the torque is affecting the La just like on the Merlin birds.

Instead of flaps, I'll chop throttle.   For me, it is more effective and the results are more "prompt" as opposed to "waiting for deploy speed".

I do the same thing, power off, go vertical, dump flaps and roll back in... Since HTC significantly reduced the speed for flap deployment in the Lavochkins, getting flaps out now require speeds at or below 150 mph... That's mighty slow. Can't do that in the MA if not a 1v1 away from the mob.

If you're frequent LA flier, don't forget that (extending/retracting) flaps speeds have changed. First notch at about 125 mph only.
