GD wrong account, I'm letting 73 die I just log in as that to check the private squad forum until the admin parts get worked out...
I was going to make a new thread but here is as good as any

first off, I LOVE YOU HiTechCreations Inc. !!!
Great freaking job! I was honestly a bit apprehensive off A.I. when i first hear about it, some older vets talking about it beating them. Myself being a mediocre stick at very best I thought oh sh--

what chance does a common guy like me have??
I did 3 fights just now, they weren't the same, but they weren't "different" as the alt, position with the clouds, position on the map, and engagement were all the same, the "warp" freaked me out on the first fight, I was spinning my hat "OMG WHERE IS HE" until I realized I could bring up the clipboard and see the BAR DAR for a general location. By then he was in on me... from about 1000 feet alt at least, 2500 yards away in my 1 o'clock. I put my nose down about 10 degrees for speed, hit WEP and watched him go above and try for angles.
Here's my only rub on this: if you have spent ANY time in the DA you know the "usual" modes of engagement. The lower guy with more speed ends up with the advantage. I don't know what the A.I. was doing per say, but I am guessing not full WEP and NOT playing with flaps. I got above him quick, and with the E just stayed behind him until my piss-poor gunnery took off some parts. The first fight I think I took his rudder, then I ended up chasing a "drone" falling from the bail until I almost collided and augured in the ocean thinking "HE JUST MADE ME OVERSHOOT"!
After I came out of the blackout pull-up I saw the meat bomb hanging there and killed it rightly

(NICE Freaking touch HTC guys!)
The other fights were "different" in the maneuvers, possibly because of my change in the initial merge or because the A.I. was doing random stuff. Having read this post at work earlier today I even tried to skim the "HO" bubble on the 3rd merge, nary a shot was fired, and he didn't even put the nose at me. At D800 or so he was already pointing the nose to get an angle on the direction my wing tips were pointed. I had about a 20 degree left roll (left low) and he was pointing up with about 5 degrees of his right low. His pitch up was a LOT less than I would have used with that alt advantage, but I can understand why... in the DA you know they (me in the scenario) can't / won't pull up for that shot as they lose their position badly if they miss, but he is playing "real fighting" basically for life and limb. Me? I'll take the lower, it is a game and if I die I get a fresh fancy new Dora to PWN him in.
I guess what I took from my A.I. fights is the pilot is "safe" and trying to keep himself alive... you take a flier chance at a move knowing you can pull out of that stall or whatever you will beat him. I love it, but at the same time I want him to take more chances. I honestly thought the falling plane he bailed from was a "last ditch" effort to make me overshoot, adrenaline was high, and I thought he just got me.
Overall it is an amazing addition to the game and I can't imagine the time it took to write the A.I. "coad". If what other players have said in the Combat Tour forum are true and you can "tweak" the ability that is so freaking awesome I can't imagine! What I'd personally love is being able to choose the plane I am in even if the A.I. has to be in a P51... I bet that is coming real soon, or something similar

I have to say this, a simple thing like this is such an addition to the game I don't think it is truly fathomed by the player base... No longer will a new guy have to pay to "practice". We as a community have to understand that there will be more players, and more people needing advanced ACM instructions for "how to beat the A.I.". They will need to learn how to set up view positions, how to judge E states, all that stuff vets take for granted in-game... AND they will be able to ask this on a forum openly without being a paying member!!!
I hope the community is ready for this, I know years ago I did the "ALT-F4" joke on channel 1 back when it was available, and probably posted "**** N00B!" on the forum, somewhat in jest to jive with the community, and somewhat to say "I'm part of the club, you suck because you are not". from this day forth I honestly think the community as a whole has to step it up. I'm not saying I will even spend the time training said "Newbies". I'm a poor pilot, and horrible at explaining what I do while flying. 1/2 the time I am lighting a cigarette in a dog fight, or opening a beer. I just don't berate them, and with the exception of a quake-monger that screams HOWDOIDOTHIS!!!!!! and is a jerk I will from now on not berate in any way a new player. I seldom have, and am more than willing to sometimes work with someone on game mechanics like views, salvo, what have you.
I hope the rest of you 12709 registered users do the same

WTFG HTC!!!! You guys DESERVE a vacation or something!
