I just did some LAN testing. Host rolled a Panzer, Client a Wirbelwind.
After firing 1600 I couldn't shoot anymore. But most interesting, when I continued to push the firebutton neverthenless, the host could still see fire and tracers coming from the Wirbelwind! Even with proper hit graphics when the imaginary shells hit the ground.
On the client (Wirbelwind) side there was no indication that anything was happening at all.
If required I could film it from both ends.
Update:This isn't restricted to the Wirbelwind. While a M16 has correct ammo loadout it's the same effect when ammo is gone: Nothing happens on client's side when I pull trigger, but the host still sees the M16 "fire".
