After a couple of games you'll lose the cup unless its a soft cup. Very uncomfortable to run with a hard cup on.

My oldest son gave up baseball this year to play lacrosse for the first time and he loves it. He is 11 and they have been practicing for close to two months now. Anyway congrats on making the team and have a blast.

Try some butt pads for when you are on the bench for long periods. :)

Whatever you do do NOT hire a black hooker to do strip shows for you.

You have been warned.

You’re going to love it!! I played D-man for 3 years in high school during the football offseason and wish i would have discovered it earlier.  Hard to find another sport that will let you take a 6 foot titanium stick and beat the living crap out of the guy with the ball!! I dont think you will need the rib guards but I suggest buying the elbow guards if you are going to play midi or attack.  I would purposely beat on the midi/attacks elbows all game long so by the end of the game they had trouble cradling (yes it was legal).  Just remember to not get frustrated with catching, cradling and throwing the ball in the beginning, it takes time to build those skills.  Good luck and have fun!

I was a linebacker/d-end in high school as well.  D-man is the best position on the field in my opinion, you don’t have to run the entire game, you get to kill people and everyone is smaller than you… it borders on not being fair to the other team. Teams used to run offenses against us that focused on taking outside shots because the midis & attacks didn’t like to drive to the goal :rock :aok
When you first start playing the game it seems really fast paced. You won’t have very many opportunities to hit because you are out position but as you learn how the game flows you will start getting a lot of chances to lay ppl out.
Lacrosse will also really help with your speed, foot work, and agility. You will notice a difference when you start playing football next year.  Man, I wish I could play again!!!!
