i had my first fight with the AI just now. lasted about 7 seconds :D

i made a nice shot on reversal of his attack and he exploded right there from pilot hit.

i just upped in a 262 against 10 262 pilots they all bailed after about 1 or 2 pings lol

I think AI bailing from a functional plane is proof that HTC is going the extra mile to replicate human behavior in the MA.

you mean realistic human behavior as they would behave in real life.

NOT how they would behave in the MA.

IRL severe engine damage or a pilot would might be a good reason to bail as it sure beats bleeding to death or the plane exploding with you in it thus ruining your day.

In the MA people have little regard for their make beleive lives.

Cant say for sure as I dont know but it might have something to do with "combat tour"
Where you might want ot take that into account as if you loose your life there you may have to start from the bottom from scratch.
May make more sense to bail to keep your pilot alive rather then being reckless
