ostwind view
« on: March 22, 2008, 10:54:24 AM »
So I got to try the new osti last night and the new model sure restricks the gunners view. Unable to raise up and there are blind spots.  This upgrade to me makes this ride almost useless.  Am I missing something about the view as seen from the gunners seat ?

I hope they do the same thing with the wibl.

Altho, now i can see the osti being used as it was supposed to be.
Sitting, waiting for a low flock of bombers. Not shooting and hitting a 350+mph fighter at 3.0k out.
"but im just that good" yeah? then why cant you do it without giving yourself the view advantage?

Exactly.

The osti's changed, get over it, get use to it.
Do you people have any idea how many films or secret pm's HTC probably has gotten OVER THE YEARS calling people cheaters and hacks for "bein' so good" yet you rob these very same people of a view exsploit, and they are the first to cry.

Change!?..omg nooooooooo. :|

"View exploit?"

Wow, that's rich.  I guess anyone who saves any head position in the cockpit of any airplane is also using a "view exploit."  Nope - you should only be able to look straight back into your headrest . . . no moving your view to the side.  F3 from bombers is CERTAINLY a view exploit by comparison as well.  Why don't we take away those "exploits" as well, eh?

Don't be silly.

Because I'm a lame cheater. I once took shamelessly advantage of changing & saving my cockpit views. I reached a new low when I started to use my TrackIr. I'm even cheap enough to raise my head position in drivers station in tanks, so that I'm not hampered by the small vision slit.

Just because you suck in it, doesn't mean "other's are exploiting a thing".

I have NO PROBLEMS with using the default gun sight and getting kills up to 4k out.    Only one "crying" is yourself, calling others "cheaters".   I use the standard default view and have NO PROBLEMS landing 7-8 kills.

I went into the Wirblewind the other night for the first time, one trigger pull, one kill.   Ended up with 3.    All for 3 trigger pulls.   Yes, some of us are "THAT GOOD".

I never used this "view exploit".    I don't game the game and I love it when chumps like you start whining because you come into contact with someone/something better than you, so your scores cannot be padded.

Bad day?   Hardly.   Keep whining!!

Out of all the gamey things that are normal in the arenas, I find the idea of a gunner moving his head around in an open top turret to be fairly low on the scale, well below vulching, spawn points, and instant resupply.

I am not up to LTAR standards in the Ostie, but I could get some kills in them.  Sometimes a couple of hundred a month.  But I agree, the Osite is now worthless.
