hehe joe, i like to make 5 minute films in an hour flatout. maybe 2 hours if i have trouble getting some element to a suitable standard.

infact i am just rendering a second effort with a 'set-up camera' shot using the film viewer setup function. when you get it right it is very impressive, but wow it took me about 30 mins to just get this one shot.

the modified shot is the final sequence with the 190a8

which one is better? the first or second.

Very nice film Batfink!

Been awhile since I've seen that BBS name of yours.

I like the first film better.

80/20 Rule says you'll spend 80% of your project time making it 20% better.

thanks kermit. i think i agree with you only because i like the gunsite shot. mechanic is well behaved now after many years of soap avoidance. S!

i was just thinking. 30 mins to make a 30 second clip is 1 minute/second of film captured and edited. thats actualy a little slow, joe :D

I spent an entire year on a film that didn't even get 1 second rendered!

Death of H2H was a sad day.

Edit:
Modify your last shot again.  This time, go for something that helps show the viewer a clearer picture of your reversal.
I had to watch it a few times to figure what was going on.

i was just happy to keep the two planes in the fov while typing in axis number like a madman.
i watched the other videos and i think Bnasty's is my pick with the awesome sound effects but they were all good. i have to go watch zion's P38 one now  :)

Nooo!!!!!

Hey, also try to start out with telling us you were the 110 & that the others are the "bad guys"

You got a cool story Bat, don't let this go yet.

if i find time and dont delete the film by mistake i might take your idea there, i think the 30 second time limit makes it impossible to show the fight any better than i have already.

i was the *cough* mosquito! 190D9 was WingZero and the A8 was Neodad.  :rock

Bah! I prefer "BatfinkV" by now!

Nice clip, Bat!

I think the second one definitely shows the overshoot better. Watching the first one I sat scratching my head thinking "Now, wait, so all of a sudden he's just slowed down and the 190 overshot?" and in the second it really illustrated the barrel roll that lead to the overshoot better, and I thought "aaaaahhhhh THAT's what it was!"
