"Bible basher" or not, I found it fascinating and mysterious. That is has been banned in the US is just one more example of how we are increasingly overprotective of our children these days. I find Bible stories just as intriguing and fun as other works of fiction.
I can't see how the bible is any less creepy or disturbing, why don't they ban that. God telling a man to sacrifice his son, only to stop him at the last minute to test his loyalty. God seeming to protect and oversee only certain people. Heeping diseases, murders, natural disasters.
It's time man fesses up and realizes God isn't doing any of this to us. Or the Devil, it is us, and a result of our own warped, perverted, perspective on reality. In truth we live in a dimensional universe of created thought reality, and reality is whatever it is to the experiencer. God or otherwise. We are small versions of our creator, with the same basic qualities gone astray, due to our own misunderstandings. God is none of the things man projects him to be. For him to protest that would result in the disruption of our own willpower and the eradication of humanity. He must let us live in our delirium, and answer our questions ourselves. Which is what this current state of life is for.
I am not scared of God or judgement..only myself, my fellow man, and the karma that results from each of our actions.
