Old Warbirds Flyby or bunch of bombers just came to town!!

I noticed whild out and about last sunday I saw a B-29, B-17, B-24 and a B-25 mitchell flying over mesquite Tx. They apeared to be headed towards love field in Dallas.
A buddy I work with saw a B-29 (maybe the one I saw) flying over the mesquite/Garland area on teusday then headed westerly towards love field as well.
Is there a air show around DFW in the next week or 2 that I missed hearing about?
When I saw the bombers sunday my GF was with me....she was either REALLY excited about them too or just scared poopless cause I was watching them not the road...oops 
Anybody know anything about a possible airshow?

when i was driving over the golden gate bridge there was either a b-24 or b-17 flying over, it was a couple years ago before i knew the difference between the two

unless fifi got her engine fixed I don't think it was a b-29.  Collings is making a tour through texas at the moment which probably explains the other bombers you saw.

Coolest thing i've ever gotten to see was back in the late 80's when i was stationed at MCAS Beaufort S.C.. Due to weather at the cape the space shuttle transport 747 with the shuttle on it landed at our base. Was parked about 2000yds from the hanger of my squadron. Talk about some tight security! Something i never knew till i had left there was that if the shuttle had to abort 4 to 8 sec after lifting off the pad our base was the emergency landing area as we had the longest runway on the east coast.

Might not have been a B-29 was a pretty long way off when I saw it and my buddy could have been mistaken. We talked about it lastnight and he thought it "could" have been a constilation but I splained him the MANY differences from a conny and a B-29....damn noobs.
