Some great footage there.

The Pony in the clip is the A model, not B

Before anyone wets themselves again hoping for a 20mm Mustang, remember those are propaganda films.

The Mustang I had 50cals and 30 cals.  No 20mms.  Those Mustangs had no fuselage fuel tank and were not ranging over Germany.  No provisions for DTS or bombs either.  No wing racks.

It was not a monster despite the narrator :)

I believe that a small amount of RAF MustangIA (Of accord to the USAAC Apache) were equipped with 20mm cannon setup, but the number was less than 100. Also this version came with the lesser powered Allison engine which only produced 1,120 hp.

Yep there were a few.  Just trying to get the folks who start fantasizing about 4 cannons to relax first :)  If HTC were ever to model an Allison Mustang, I would like to think they'd go with the Mustang I with the 30s and 50s, the USAAF P51A with the 4 20s, or the A36.  All far more important in their use then the few 20mm Allison Mustangs.

Plus compared to the B/C and the D/K that we have now, I think the stable is well rounded. Rather see another twin boom design that had 20mm implemented first.  But I'll just keep dreaming. On a side note if you guys enjoy watching the old movies and training films try this site: http://www.zenoswarbirdvideos.com/main.html I think the guys that appreciate the history will enjoy them, plus they are free.

Mustang IA, used mainly as low level Photo Recon models. Did not have 20mm. 414 RCAF used them in that role.

...would like to see an Allison Mustang in the game though, has its place.
