after playing a bitI have found if I just lower my angle looking at the screen it helps somewhat. Problem now seems to be the game seems to have a small stutter in it in the online mode but no problem in the offline mode. what should we adjust?  thanks in advance.

Looked up the specs for that lappy flatiron.

Dell Latitude D610 Review Unit System Specs

    * Pentium M 760 (2.00Ghz w/ 533Mhz FSB)
    * 512MB (2x256) PC3200-DDR2 (400Mhz)
    * 14.1" SXGA+ (1400x1050 resolution)
    * ATI Mobility Radeon X300 w/ 64MB dedicated RAM
    * Fujitsu 60GB HD (5400RPM)
    * 8x DVD+/-RW (dual layer)
    * Intel Pro 2200 wireless (802.11 b/g)
    * Broadcom Gigabit Ethernet; Conexant 56K modem
    * SigmaTel C-Major audio
    * Extra AC adapter & extra modular battery

Here is some info for the more major computer geeks. I think it has too low of ram and seems to have onboard sound and audio, but I'm not sure.

This laptop is a bit one the low end side of the scale.  Just lower the "MAximum Texture Size" to 256, which will help with the memory usage as the computer only has 512MB of RAM in it.  The X300 is not a blazing performer either.

Might need to set the in-gamr graphic sliders more towards the performance side as well.

video 8 WAS NOT the problem,. your tweaking was the problem. By removing the video 8 file, the game put a new one in that was the default settings for your video. So be carefull of what your tweaking. that laptop isn't very strong, so try to keep everything set to the minimums
