A-20 formations
« on: April 21, 2008, 05:40:02 PM »
I've only seen this twice and ive checked it in the hanger and theres no formation box to check.

this last time i got onto a CV and noticed it so i got a screen shot real fast but i couldent get zoomed in fast enough for a closer shot before it was out of range.   ill post the pic if needed.

How is this done tho

If u see a formation of A20's at 1k range or more, they are actually BostonIII's.  A20 and Boston III use same icon till u are less then 1k range of them.

Bomb payload my only guess. 3 A-20's = 12,000 pounds of bombs. 3 Boston's = 6,000 pounds.

Modifications:
A-20A : attack version for USAF
A-20C : licensed version built by Boeing, nicknamed "Boston" by RAF
A-20G : licensed version for USSR, 7,478 built
        F-3 : photoreconnaisance version
        P-70 : night fighter

A-20G was most numerous verison(over 2800 built)...A-20J had a glass nose to lead bomber formations. trival information for ya.
