Don't forget these gems:
------------------------
- Hitech sits at a "God Screen" and Discos C-47s on a whim just as they reach the objective of a long NOE milkrun: just for the hell of it.
- Hurricanes need to be perked because they can outclimb/outzoom/outrun/outturn/outshoot all other rides.
- HTC is owned by the US Government and they use the game to study the psychology of battle tactics using the players as live test subjects.
- There is a secret pact between country "A"+"B" to gang up on country "C"
- HTC encourages players to get multiple accounts for nefarious purposes because it means more revenue
- A P-51 is the fastest prop plane in the game and anyone who can run one down is a cheater

- The DA is only for chest thumping and smack talk

- spitfires are easy mode

- making sure of having the altitude or energy advantage before a merge is a skilled part of ACMs
And I don't know much, but I do know this. With a golden heart comes a rebel fist.

But, spitfires ARE easy mode!

And what is the DA, but an attempt at getting more E on the initial merge than your enemy? You merge at the same spot, but the battle is always to get the most speed, E, or to turn sooner so as to maximize potential. A perfectly co-E DA dual is a stalemate with both pilots dead from a second-merge HO or both pilots endlessly going 'round with no advantage.

I've never heard those as "myths" before, but I think they have a lot of truth behind 'em.

I don't know about Silat but Animal looks scrumptious in a dress.

After a six pack, Animal would look good anything.

Lynx....

1) It does lighten the weight of your plane and therefor improves the plane performance albeit a slight miniscule amount.
6) Torps do run faster than ships....by about 5-10 knots I believe.
11) Once upon a time they did respawn in 15 minutes so...

Strip(er)

Strip: Some folks think it makes you way better. It's a drop in the bucket most of the time.

Torps USED to be a couple of mph faster than the CV, but keep in mind before this patch CVs only did 30 mph. NOW they do 40mph! Unless torps have had their speed increased 33% as well, they won't even come close now.

But a lot believe that it will give them a significant advantage when like you said, it's miniscule and won't be the deciding factor in winning the fight.

Torps do 40.  CV cruises at 35 in a straight line and accelerates to 42 during course changes.  <----not a myth.

Murdr, I was sitting on the deck of a CV that wasn't turning, was halfway between 2 distant waypoints, and I pulled up the E6b before I rolled. It said 40mph before I turned my engine on.

It's much faster than it used to be.

P.S. Torps never used to do 40. Not even close. I'm going to have to test this offline now!

Myths

If an enemy plane only starts to warp after you roll in an force them to maneuver, they are "cable pulling".
If a player switches countries, they are a spy.
If you switch sides to the winning country before the war is won you get perks.
If you are booted during a war win reset while flying: ...a perk plane you lose perks. ...your actoins for that sortie will be scored.
Something bad will happen to you if you vulch HiTech (excluding Dec 24th).  :devil

That's not a myth, that's just pigheaded MORONIC thinking.

Certain folks will cuss you out on squad channel and say things like "Get off this team!" and are really perpetuating this false thinking.
