Have you ever seen any bids take place? No you haven't.. that's why call them "no bid" contracts. Hence the reason Halliburton has no competition.
There are many US companies that can Handel base operations contracts. You think Halliburton does them all here in the US? No they don't, because there is open bidding on them with public scrutiny. Yet Halliburton is the only on that gets them in Iraq with no bids and no open books for the the tax payers to see.
Sorry, that's just not the case. Do a simple google search and you'll easily find contracts awarded (after having been bid) to other companies who are now (and have been for a long time) in Iraq. It's easy for anyone with a grudge against Halliburton/Cheney to say something like that; it's just not the truth though.
Many, many contracts have been awarded over there. Many, many contracts have gone to companies other than Halliburton.
*edit* oh, I see the back & forth about not finding information to post, so I guess you can disregard.
But off hand, I could probably name more than 100 contract companies (not including Halliburton/KBR), all of which are there as a result of having bid on contracts.
