The only things to suffer gunfire from yours truely are paper targets, shot at using either a WASR-10 (AK clone), Chinese version Mosan-Nagant M44, M59/66 (Yugoslavian SKS), or an M-16A2 (When Uncle Sucker forces me to every other year for qualification).

M53 with BRP receiver halves, and a MG34 with a 3 cut receiver in the works at the moment, both going to SA conversion.

I highly suspect that enjoyment of hunting, guns, and shooting other people in pretend airplanes is all encoded on the same gene. :aok

i don't own any firearms, but i DO believe that one should be able to own his or her weapon of choice...as long as they can do so responsibly.(read that no shooting into the air on any holidays, no temper issues, etc.)

personally, i'm an archery guy. haven't been hunting with it yet, but i do shoot 3D shoots with it, and some indoor leagues in the winter.

Here's a fun little 12guage side by side that I found in my Grandfather's basement after he passed away.  Also found a pre-WWII Colt 45 tucked away in a filing cabinet.  Don't have a photo of it on the comp at the moment though.

I hunt moose, deer, caribou, and a variety of small game.  Someday will add big horns and brown/black bear to the list.  Occasional target shooting as well. My gun list is...

1)  Brittish No4 mk1 T Enfield sniper rifle made in 1944 at BSA Shirly and reworked by Holland and Holland. (moose rifle).303 brittish
2)  No4 mk2 Enfield 1943. .303 brittish
3)  17 enfield converted to a sporting rifle.  .30-06(trade garbage)
4)  Remington 700 bolt action 6mm.  (deer and Caribou)
5)  Colt 1911A1 .45 Acp semi auto (heavily modified) built in 1913.
6)  ruger 10/22 (small game and fun plinking)
7)  diamond arms co single shot 12 gauge (Grand fathers shotgun)  Still sees occasional use as a squirrel gun.

Not guns but also on the shooting/hunting list are a pair of bows.
1)Martin Savannah longbow at 60lbs
2) Martin Razor X compound bow.

1. 10/22 Ruger for plinking on the 100 yard range.
2. A Savage in 308 with a bull barrel for hunting mostly.
3. Mossberg 20 Gauge
4. CZ 75 9mm pistol for IDPA and IPSC

I also shoot 1000 yard matches with a Remington Sendero 300 Ultra Mag and this is by far one of the most prized possesions I own. Here is a list of whats installed.

Jake Break...similar to high end tank breaks.
Harris Adjustable Bipod
Factory Fluted SS Barrel
Factory Sythetic McMillan Stock
NightForce 5.5-22.5 scope (with mil dot reticle) and tapered mount

With 200 grain nosler ballistic tip and 90-100 grains of Varget I get velocities approaching 3200 fps with a mild over pressure. I dont have the time to explain the great lengths I go thru to tune the ammo to gun but needless to say 300 rounds, 3 powders, 4 bullets types, and a cleaning regime that would make a sergeant smile have brought this gun to where it is today. If anyone is truely curious pm me and we can chat specifics.

Keep in mind this a factory gun with the only gunsmithing being done is a trigger job and threading the barrel for a break. All of my shooting is done with a bipod and rear sand bag.

Best 5 round grouping to date is a little over 6 inches at 1000 yards. (roughly a 2"x5" horizontal rectangle from the wind)
Best 5 round group at 700 yards is a little under 4 inches.
Best 3 round group at 1000yard is 2.863 inches.
Best 3 round group at 300 yards is .285 inches.

Shooting at 700 yards a 4 inch clay is usually an easy target and on a good day I can get a dozen or more in a row before barrel heat becomes a real issue. I feel the 300s ability to buck the wind is among the best and in high winds I can still shoot a .375 to .500 inch group at 300 yards over open terrain. A buddy of mine has hit deer at 1300+ yards with a smiliar setup (different barrel) in Kentucky. The gun cost 1100, scope cost 1200, and reloading equipment was about 700. For dollars spent I havent found a better setup for long range accuracy other than a 50 bmg or maybe the 410 wildcat they have just recently come out with.
