JG11 vs 353rd
« on: April 04, 2008, 10:37:56 PM »
Completely unscripted, and totally unexpected, JG11 and the 353rd collided over the channel tonight. It was massive. It was chaos. It was war. And it was FUN! I do believe the nod goes to JG11 for total kills, however, the 353rd stopped you from whatever nefarious deeds you were up too. England was saved. And again there was much rejoicing. :rock

We look forward to tossing BB's at you again soon, (while you lob potatos back at us)

THIS is why the AvA is fun, all faults aside. Anyone who says something different is selling something.

Hehe...
Me one squad forum; hey, we dont have FSO tonight, how about we hit London?
Stampf; IN.
 :lol

I beleive the fight your referring to was when we were trying to get the bombers back home (surprisingly, most of them made it). Had a good time escorting the Schnellbombers over target, then getting PW'ded and ditching in some feild in England...

Climbout:

1st engagement:

Furball over London:

TheBug PW's me, forcing me to ditch.

JG 11.  You guys did what BoB should be like.  German bombers with escort to bomb RAF bases and London while RAF spit and hurr intercept.  A class act of historic event.  Thanks

Nice pics Bubi.
I believe I may be the Spit you nailed in the first combat picture.

The raid was excellent as well as the big furball over the channel after that. Stampf you guys have built a very talented Jagdgeschwader in a short amount of time.

I'm glad you guys are flying the AVA

Now that felt like the BoB to me.  It was so realistic the way the escorts and interceptors fought a running battle along the stream.  I am glad everyone on both sides enjoyed it, that was the intent.  I thank Bubi for suggesting a target like London, and not just another base capture.

Thank you Shifty.  The core group have been together for 2.5 yrs now.  We have recently gone through a population explosion and are just beginning to see some of that polish again, that we are used to.  It takes time with a larger group.  I have been very lucky to have not only some of the nicest guys come into the 11th, but also some very talented veteran players who have helped me immeasurably, in the training and organization of the unit.  To take pride in anything game related seems a bit absurd, but I am indeed, very proud of this Geschwader.

Thanks for that Shifty, and TheBug as we are also glad to be there, and happy to face off with the 353rd, regularly.  :salute

Bubi covered the pictures of the fighter v fighter. Ill cover the bombing pictures.

In formation.

Our rather beautiful escort. Stampf lead, followed by Fencer and Bubi. You can see the 88's below, amazing escort last night guys.  :salute

Lead, are you sure this is the right escort?  :huh

First enemy to fall to the 11th's JU 88's.

Bombs out over london, seems to have gotten smaller since i saw it last.

HITS!

A spitfire falls to 10thMD.

Herr Vater shoots...

He scores.

Hurri1 flown by Plink tears into my 88's. Those poor souls.

But even Plink falls to the guns of an 88.

A Boston killing my buffs?  :huh

Oh well he is out of the fight anyways.

:salute goes out to the 11th and the 353rd that made that a very fun mission.

That looks like great fun... but how often does it occur?  If that sort of thing were a nightly event, I'd all but abandon the MA and drive Emil's full time.
