P-51 fuel gauge bug?
« on: April 05, 2008, 05:25:54 PM »
Not sure if this has been posted yet, but I took 75% fuel in a P-51D and the fuel gauge says the tank currently being used is nearly empty! The total fuel left is at 75% (red line mark) and E6B shows the correct minutes left.

RW 100%
LW 100%
AUX 12%

I thought AUX wasn't used until you set fuel to 100%.

Bug or new setting??

Far as I can remember you always got a splash or two in the AUX tank when you loaded 75% in a D Pony.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

Agree. There's always been a small amount of fuel in the AUX tank when taking 75%. It burns off first.

The info in that link is quite old and outdated, and incorrrect regarding 100% only setting that will have fuel in AUX tank.
Off to let Skuzzy know about old info.
