It's absolutely great that we have AI available now, and a mission editor to set things up the way we'd like. Being able to practice against targets that manuever is great! If nothing changed there I'd not complain at all.

But in case improvements are considered, I have a couple suggestions. First, and most beneficially, would be great for the AI to have at least SOME sense of plane specific tactics. It'd be obvious to even a second day newb that you wouldn't want to turn fight a Zero while flying a Me262, but no matter what the match up the AI fighter combat ends up in a deck level turn fight. Even if it were as basic as having planes put in 3 categories (Prefer energy fighting, Fight either way, Mostly turn fighting) it would add both to the realism and the utility for practicing.

Secondly, would be nice to have some degree of AI skill scalability. Even if the upper levels were reserved for eventual use in CT, mid level opponents would be nice to practice against. As it is, I'm finding that even with 2 AI opponents behind me they rarely get pings until inside of 150 yards.

Common sense is trying to not be an idiot right now
