"A delegation of nine state legislators from Sonora was in Tucson on Tuesday to say Arizona's new employer sanctions law will have a devastating effect on the Mexican state.
At a news conference, the legislators said Sonora - Arizona's southern neighbor, made up of mostly small towns - cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs and schools it will face as illegal Mexican workers here return to their hometowns without jobs or money.
The law, which took effect Jan.1, punishes employers who knowingly hire individuals who don't have valid legal documents to work in the United States. Penalties include suspension or loss of a business license.
Its intent is to eliminate or curtail the top draw for immigrants to this country - jobs..."

The decline of the U.S. will be the same as the decline of the ancient Roman Empire.  Poor people running across the border!

Let the criminals return home.  Maybe they'll straiten up their own country instead of destroying ours.

As long as Mexico is leaching off of us, they'll never get stronger.

So.....?

Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.

This means that TX, NM, and CA need to look at what AZ has done and emulate their laws regarding illegal immigrants.

Don't worry Mexico. I'm sure the bleeding hearts of CA will capitulate and open the borders so all Mexicans can have jobs here.

Interesting story on CBS national news (IIRC) tonight said that US farmers were now starting farms in Mexico because they can't get enough temp farm workers on this side of the border.

I think getting tough on employers is great for illegals. I think that perhaps for farm labor there should be a streamlined process to allow for help in harvest season.

There's nothing wrong with legal immigration.

Just kick out all the illegals and NEVER allow them re-entry.  Ever.

I think we need to give the Mexican Government aid to pay unemployment benefits for their returning refugees forced to relocate thanks to Arizona's Draconian regulations against employeers. It's the least we can do.

Dred, there's already people taking down US flags, and crowding in support for "taking back the land that belongs to them" (or whatever).  Imagine if Mexico was a state...

US farmers were now starting farms in Mexico because they can't get enough temp farm workers on this side of the border.
Wow, entrepreneurs adapting their plans to actualy comply with the laws, imagine that!
