unless he was a Corpsman sould he even have seen the Urban combat that characterizes this war? And if he was a Corpsman, he wouldnt even have a had a gun... Or maybe he was an SP, but i thought the marines did most of that. Either way that is total BS

Corpsmen do carry protective side arms and are fully proficient in the use of combat weapons and receive basic infantry training.  In addition, some naval personnel that wouldn't normally operate in combat units are being used to do so.  I believe there is a member of our little community that is an aviation mechanic that has been "drafted" by the Army and will see service in some combat capacity in Afghanistan.

On my first day working deathrow I heard an inmate calling my name.  I walk over to his cell and see this guy I went to school with, talking as if we had just talked the day before.  Come to find out he unloaded a 12 gauge into his Ex-wife with his son and her daughter standing near.  What really freaked me out is he didn't think he had done anything wrong.

Give him a psychological overview.  Probably very severe anti-social personality.  I say give him the electric chair.

I'm kinda tired of the "My military/law enforcement training kicked in and I just went on my training" excuse. It gives the impression that LEOS and service members are brainwashed robots incapable of independant thougt and are completely dependant on their training, not their ability to think. People are not mindless automatons. Yes I was drilled to shoot center mass, but I was also drilled not to put my finger on the trigger unless I was ready to kill someone.

I can't condone hurting women (lol my wife is brown-belt in something I can't pronounce) but I know what turns Mr. Hand into Mr. Fist---humans differ from animals in that we don't act on every single impulse we have
