What kind of bird is this?
« on: April 13, 2008, 01:26:11 PM »
Walked outside this morning, and a large bird was sitting in a tree by my pond.  When it took off, I could see that the tops of its wings had white speckles all over.

Looks like a Red Tailed Hawk or some similar type of Hawk.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Thanks for the quick replies.

Well, its a good sign to be seeing birds of prey.  It means the local ecosystem is relatively healthy.

And what is your callsign?

It appears to be the near extinct branchsitterbyapond bird.
