I've found plenty. I was at 15k looking for some rooks to pick, ran into a spit 8. P47 vs. Spit-8 usually isnt fair. This guy was sorta nooby so it was real fun. I would bring my plane into an immelan, full flaps, while he would be on a turn. Finally, he did a split-s and I just did a slight flat turn, killed him. But we were fighting for like 10 minutes atleast.  :aok

 :huh

One other aspect that I sometimes find somewhat bothersome. There are a few people who constantly get after their teammates for not focusing on base seizing and ultimate victory. Perhaps they should understand some points and be a tad more tolerant.
  (1) My interest in these sims (WBs and now AH) was purely historical. I was thrilled to have an opportunity to compare the various AC in a simulation against live human opponents. So, sometimes (if I only have an hour to spare) I like to go up and just fight human opponents. I usually take rides that interest me (last TOD I took P-40E most in Late War) not necessarily the "uber" rides. Some of these planes need to be flown BnZ so "picking" is what needs to be done (I don't want to spend all of my time in a Zeke, Nik, or Hurri IIC). Since I am paying a subscription to paly a sim for my enjoyment I find it galling to be admonished for not focusing constantly on some "victory goal" that isn't always my priority.

  (2) With that said---I do partake in missions, base seizures, troop and supply running, etc---when i have the time and inclination and particularly when my squad is doing so.

So, perhaps these people should stop calling the lone eagle furballers "idiots" and just realize that people are up for different things at different times. Just a thought----not a big problem thanks to the squelch function. :)

I agree its your money and you should play for your enjoyment. When someone else starts paying your way then they can tell you what to do....  :salute

I don't think anyone is telling anyone else how to play. They are just pointing out the folks with less than stellar performances or as some call it "dweebery".

You're not Bish are you?  The Bish had one such, very vocal example who will remain nameless.  Every time I logged on this individual was whining on country channel how all the Bish were losers and he was the only one who knew how the game should be played.

One Saturday morning or afternoon, I finally got sick and tired of it.  I called him out on country channel and a slew of name-calling ensued.  A few others chimed in suggesting that maybe I was right.

That was the end of it.  I haven't seen this person play armchair general/country de-motivator since.  I'm so glad I spoke up.
I edit a lot of my posts.  Get used to it.

I use to be all "A1 under attack" "Help or A1 and the war is lost", but I figured out after a year of playing that it's not worth the typeing and that everyone is playing the game their own way, and haveing fun. If you don't agree with how someone is playing, then you just need to state that you don't and if that person doesn't want to change what they are doing, then there is nothing you can do about it.

I like that photo of Bob bongaroo :rock----why my handle was 'jahgyd' when I was young enough to pull it off :(.

I think that player is now a rook--as my squad is at present. I watched him call people "idiots" for about three hours on 5 consecutive days (hehe) and finally chimed in to say he wasn't very civil to others (just that--"you aren't being very civil")----wow---I got and still get a lot of insulting chatter from him now----I usually squelch upon logging in. No biggee---its a game---I imagine there may be real life issues at play---but it can be boring to read.
