You have stereotyped an entire race.  I know plenty of illegals, most are honest hard working family folks. It's about economics, how can we deal with the situation in the most cost effective way.  There here and we would be better suited to find a way to make it work to our benefit.

How to deal with it? Make the border more secure and stop being afraid of public outcry for using force to maintain it. whatever benefits you see in the cheap labor today will dissolve tomorrow when we're faced with overpopulation by a group that has no plans to enter mainstream society, learn our albeit unofficial language, become educated, and move up the rungs of the socioeconomic ladder. Show me one family that jumped the border to get here and is now working to put their kids through college and I'll show you 10 that have no issues living as they had been for the last 20 generations--only north of the border.

This country was built by immigrants, sure, but it was built by immigrants who worked their fingers to the bone so that their kids could have a better life, not the kind that work their fingers to the bone so that their kids and grandkids could do the same.

The illegals I know all have fake SS#s they pay taxes.   The solution in my opinion is to create a better work visa program.  We register all Illegals under the program, issue them work visas as well as incentives to assimilate into our culture.  Illegal immigrants are a valuable resource for this country, we have always had an illegal workforce since day one.   We should take advantage of there skills instead and respect there values instead of acting like a bunch of racist idiots. 

So we should reward illegals for managing to come here illegally by making them legal?

And how exactly are illegals a valuable resource?

And even if they did. They do NOT keep the price of goods down. That line is a crock handed out by those that hire them.

Considering something like 80% of all illegals are hispanic.

Work visa's are not the answer It's employers. As a green card carrying alien here in the USA you know how many times I have been asked by an employer for it in my 19 years here? Never... why because they don't care. Now my Green card has a kind of computer chip embedded in it & photo ID & all they have to do is swipe it & they have every thing they need to know about me. How ever it is useless when an employer wont even ask if I am legal or not. I always give employers the card when I start a new job as I am legally required to do so, most just hand it back to me & don't do anything else.

better yet, just let our soldiers stay back in the green zone, and enjoy a couple drinks while we send onl the illegals in. when they go in, they'll start stealing all of the iraqis jobs. they'll realize that they're being invaded by illegals, and surrender/stop fighting immediatly if we promise to get them out of there

I can have my life history checked in a few hours if I try to buy a handgun..  the exact same thing can be done for getting a job.  Background check comes back bad?   sorry senor..   no job.

When the employers who cheat go to prison the rest will quit cheating.. how long does a gun dealer who cheats last?    when the illegals can't get work here they will quit coming.   a few might sneak across just in time to drop an anchor baby but that is about it.
