I can't for the life of me figure this out.  Can anyone point me in the right direction to get started 3D modeling?  Just some links to a tutorial page, or well done help file would do the trick.

Tips of your own are appreciated to.  I'm coming from SketchUp, which is very simple.

Mensa, Blender itself is extremely simple. Its figuring out how it operates that is difficult. Once you have a basic understanding (which the noob-to-pro tutorials will teach you) of the interfaces and how they work, it becomes one of the easiest and most advanced tools you can use to make basic or advanced 3D models / images.

For example, I can make a bridge from scratch in about 20 minutes. Not a stinky bridge either. The tough parts are texturing and exporting. Texturing makes or breaks your design, it sure does look great in that default grey of Blender, but it has to be textured. And when it comes to exporting, anything you did wrong during construction of your shape will come out. I always have difficulty during these two steps, but I manage to get past them both at a snail-pace. ;)

Thanks for the links, I'll read into them and I hope to have this thing figured out soon enough.  My goal is to recreate some historical architecture, or even big buildings.  Like Big Ben...

Just noticed this post.  Not surprising that a SAPP and 80th Headhunter P38 pilot is asking about a blender.  Where's Shuff when we need em? :)
