Its seems that most of the time I see a P-51, its running away!

I have to chase down 1/2 the mustangs i see.

They're damn fast too!! lol

It seems like if I ever get into a fight with a P51.. it's the B model. If it's running or picking, it's most likely a D. Just seems to be my experience..

F4u4 is faster than the p51b p51d and 109k below 1k, and the 109k with WEP is faster than the p51d at all alts save sea level (tied for speed there) and even faster than the p51b at all levels, and has 2x the WEP to better catch a p51.

There have been quite a few times I  have reversed and come in with an "E" advantage, chasing one to the deck in an La7 with WEP on and still had a hard time catching it!

It takes a looooooong time to even get in range for a long "hail mary" lob shot!

But the point was, it seems to be a fairly common occurance lately, to me.

P-51s, at least half of the time seem to just simply run away!!

Is it just me ?

Or has anyone else noticed it too?
