funny thing this last weekend, we went through my closet at my parents house and found 2 models still in the plastic wrap. A Tamiya 1/48 A6m2b and a PROMODELLER 1/48 SB2C-4 HELLDIVER. I remember getting them but not sure how i forgot about them. I haven't done one in 17 years, this should be funny and painful.

Any sites I should check out on applying and using Masks for markings I should check out? the stickers for the Helldiver are nice and yellow and came across sites that sale these masks. The A6M stickers amazingly still look brand new but might look for masks anyways.

Also an airbrush that would be good for a someone that hadn't used one in 17 years. I only used a cheeseball one that hooked up to a can but still must say the couple models i used it one stood the f out from the rest.

Any references would be nice, figure if I'm going to do these i might as well do them right. Thanks in advance.

Put down the boxes and slowly back away! This may cut into your flight time in AH and we can not have that! Also sniffing all that glue will make you see double and friendly fire incidents may become frequent! Seriously though i think revel has a model builders site up. I remember seeing someone post something about a site but can't remember the name of it or address.

Fine Scale Modeler is a great resource to visit.

My advice: use acrylic water-based paint over a spray primer coat (white will make a good base for more vibrant coloring).

Masking: try a liquid masking agent.

Testor's Gloss Cote over the final coloring paint, then decals, then Testor's Dull Cote (or Gloss Cote if you want it shiny).

    Has anyone seen that old diarama(sp) of the TBD in the water, and the pilot helping the gunner into a raft? Its sorta old now. I first saw it in a modelers book in my late teens, and then while in the USAF I was in a hobby shop in Abilene Texas and there on the shelf in a glass case was this model. Id doubt someone would recreate a diarama(spx2) so it may have been the original. I think I asked the guy there and he said it was the one, but so much time has passed I cant remember. It was really cool though. Id post a pic but my webamajig is full.

No I don't, but all my old ones except a B-17 and B-29 were destroyed by my youngest brother.
