Question - Arena Caps
« on: April 23, 2008, 12:09:30 PM »
Hi guys could someone exlain to me how this works?

Everytime I try to logon when I get home from work I am normally unable to join the same arena as squaddies cos the cap on the arena they are in is like 167/100 meanwhile I watch the cap on the other arena go from 20/100 to 30/150.

Wondered if the same thing also happens in US Prime time as EU when people might ACTUALLY want to play in same arena as their squad mates?

This isn't a whine I just would like to know how it works and why its like this?

Thanks

I've already read other posts a while back on the subject - I believe there have since been changes.

If you're going to patronise me then don't bother. I respectfully ask if you're going to reply with any patronising comments please refrain. I've just had to waste 24 seconds of my life replying to this.

Still looking for a nice informed response.

Edit: I should also mention the search function timed out on me twice whilst attempting to search.

No one is patronizing anyone. I made a simple suggestion as this issue has been hashed out over and over. In the future if you need help you might be a bit more open minded and not so quick to jump the gun.

Ok Stu I'll go over this again.

off peak is now  x/400   so anytime before 18:00 GMT there will be one arena.

you come online after that you will see 167/100  (it used to be /120).

I believe HTC did this so the second arena fills up faster, those people who disconnect or are just about to login will have to go into the second arena.  When the second arena hits about 110/150  the first arena will go to 200.  then so on etc

It is a better change IMO.  We as a squad should either swap to the second arena by default.  Usually that would depend on map preference and how many people have already been online fighting.

It is also clear to me that the cap is needed I don't think having TT every night would be that wonderful.

Perhaps you could message your squadmates when you get into the other arena that you are capped out and they could join you in the other arena after they finish their current sortie?

ghastly thats not always possible.

1)  we would have to want to fly with him  :t

2)  flying outnumbered is good for you.

3)  he can make sure he gets in earlier.  You can't have everything the way you want it all the time.  Until he buys out HTC and sets the rules.
