It wasn't a copy, it just happened to also be made of wood. Apparently the otherwise exceptional German engineering of the time didn't apply to adhesives. These things liked to disintegrate in flight, just like the He-162, and for the same reason. Apparently Heinkel had already reserved the name "Shredding Plywood Coffin" for the 162, so Kurt Tank just went with "Moskito" (maybe he figured he could blame it on the British :D).

The British bombed the factory which made the glue for the 'Moskito', so they had to use another type which wasn't very effective  :devil  :lol

Direct copy? :huh With a tandem cockpit and a nose wheel? :huh The only thing they had in common was ... wood.

We've been suggesting the Beaufighter for a long time.

Always better to spell it right in the thread title I'd think :)

Beaufighter is long long overdue. Yep, we want it, we need it, big plus for scenarios and FSO's.

Actually this last patch left me very unimpressed.
I was sure we would see at the very least the 410.

It was a good patch fix wise, but nothing new at all? Come on!

410 had no real qualities cept guns/ I still think the remote control rear guns gives skuzy more head aches than just hangovers.  410 was a bomber killer and as far as gv attack, bout  the same as 110 but with less performance and if i remember a real spinner, OK for girls but not gv attack.   ALWAYS must see how they are modeled.  Also a mossie want a be, what 376 ar 15k, wel some speed :noid  Sorry for mis spelling but heck with 4 20mm and 6 303, i can mispell keel too
