yea i love the beaufighter its probably my favorite bomber
410 had no real qualities cept guns/ I still think the remote control rear guns gives skuzy more head aches than just hangovers. 410 was a bomber killer and as far as gv attack, bout the same as 110 but with less performance and if i remember a real spinner, OK for girls but not gv attack. ALWAYS must see how they are modeled. Also a mossie want a be, what 376 ar 15k, wel some speed Sorry for mis spelling but heck with 4 20mm and 6 303, i can mispell keel too
Ok Furbie, you have me intrigued.Which, what, where? Looks like a mark 2, but an upper turret?
The first few Beaufighter Is were delivered without the wing-mounted machine-guns, and initially it was found that when the cannon were fired, the recoil caused the nose to dip enough for the pilot to lose his target. The seriousness of this fault was such that thought was given to alternative armament and, with one pair of cannon and the wing-mounted machine-guns supplanted by a Boulton Paul turret containing four 0.303-in. guns and mounted just aft of the pilot's cockpit, the Beaufighter V was produced. Only two examples (R2274 and R2306) were completed, both being converted Merlin engined Mark IIs, and these were used experimentally by No. 29 Squadron during the early months of 1942, but the installation of the turret drastically reduced performance, and the Beaufighter V was abandoned.
Have to search the data of the 410 A-3 and compare them with the 110 G-2.The 410 was superior on anything compared to the 110, better climb, really faster, huge armament...it was something like a Mossi with heavy armor, 4 x 20mm and 2 x 30mm + a great bomb and rockets load and 2 x 13mm rear guns.
a buefighter or a 410 is what we need the 410 has a biger bomb load able to cary 2 1000kg bombs
