What Was Your Best Fight
« on: April 24, 2008, 09:44:40 PM »
I was wondering what everyones best fight was.  Mine was when I was in a 109K-4 against a tempest.  The Tempest came in from above in which I broke left.  He had less E than I had calculated and was able to keep with my turn.  I then pushed the turn up into a spiral climb in which he slowly started to lose his small E-advantage.  As the fight headed higher he stalled out.  I then kicked my nose around and got on his six and was about to get a shot when he broke and headed upwards(which in turned played right into my hands) in which he didn't have enough E to get away and I shot him to pieces.

The reason I chose that fight was first because I made a succesful spiral climb which stole the enemy his advantages.  I was then able to get on his six and kill him.  Plus killing a perked plane is always great.

So many - I doubt I could pick just one, even if I could remember them all.

The highlight of... last tour, I guess... maybe two tours ago was a fight with Bucky73.

He was in a D40 and I was in a 109F.  Lasted maybe 4 minutes and it was clear (from my perspective, anyway) that we were both thinking 10 seconds ahead so we actually never got into a mindless, reactionary stick yanking contest, but rather a steady flow of move and counter-move all designed to exploit presence or absence of E.

Admittedly, I didnt even know who he was until that fight.  But he's a great stick in that Jug.  <S>

I shot down two Spit 8's in my 109-E4. Took about 10 minutes, and was maybe two weeks after I subscribed this March.

Two come to mind-

First, my Yak againt Bubi's 109.  Great fight that went on for about 4 minutes.

Another was me in a 109K-4 versus a C205.  Huge furball happened, we got seperated and furballed behind a few hills.  I think we tangled for about 7 minutes.  Very enjoyable fight.  I forget the name...but very fun

I think my best 1 was when I took on a 109 in my Jug. Man we were fighting for like 10 minutes dude. It was great, 1 had the advantage of the other. Then it would switch around. Man I gave 'em hell, but he ended up killing me.

But I do like taking on spits in my Jug. Those are pretty fun fights.  :aok

Hard to pick just one, but out of the few really good ones I've had I have to say the one with Batfink was one of the more fun ones. Spit 5 vs Mossy  :D Great fun!

Had a fun fight with Helbent a month or so back, him in a 38 (dont remember which) and me in a 109G2 or 14.Took us the whole way across the big Tanktown on... whatever the big map that looks like NDisles is. Eventually he hit a tree (lol) and the 3 cons that were trying to pick me the whole fight augered. I ran out of gas RTB  :lol

Best I can remember was a 3 on 1 on the deck. Me in a F6F vs 2 LA-7 and I think another F6F. haven't been able to repeat that since. This tour I've had a good one with a spit16 while i was in a 4-Hog at 16k. fight started above the clouds and ended with the spit missing both wings trying to out climb me.

Win or lose the best fights I have are when I know the other stick knows how to fly his ride to the limit.

I've had a couple of sweet fights recently with Agent360 (DA) 109K4, Doom 190a5, Bizquite F4U(How u spell that anyway?), and SE30mm Spit 9.

All were against my Mossie with friendly exchanges on 200.

<S> Gentlemen, these types of engagments are what keeps me coming back to be cannon fodder for others.
