stupid question about video player

how can I set which one I want playing my vids, I like AVS but now, quicktime starts opening them, I dont like quicktime, I want my avs back. :furious

Right click on a video file, click open with, then choose program, then select the program you want to open that file type.  You'll see a check-box labeled "Always use this program to open this file type" or something like that.  Check it.

how do I get it back where all videos automatically open in AVS like it was before?

Remove quicktime from your computer.  :)  It is just another spyware program anyway.

Using the check-box labeled "Always use this program to open this file type" should do it.  Otherwise open your video player and under options or preferences or something like that you should find a checklist that shows all the different video file formats and an option to set the player as the default for those file types.  Check the ones you want to open by default with that player and click OK.

Browse internet for 'quicktime alternative' and you can uninstall the whole thing.
